Hoy os presento a la mesa Noguchi

Hoy os presento otro clásico del diseño, una mesa de centro que nunca pasará de moda, la mesa Noguchi. Fue diseñada en 1944 por Isamu Noguchi, un escultor estadounidense de origen japonés, mientras hacía un estudio de estabilidad.

Esta hecha mediante una estructura compuesta por dos piezas idénticas de madera maciza y un tablero de cristal. Sus formas hacen que esta pieza sea casi concebida como una escultura. Está disponible en fresno negro, nogal y arce. Hoy en día es fabricada por Vitra.

Una pieza atemporal que queda perfecta en viviendas de estilo escandinavo tanto en ambientes modernos como en más clásicos. Os dejo con algunas imágenes.

Today I am showing you another classic of design, a coffee table that will never go out of trend, the Noguchi table. It was designed by Isamu Noguchi in 1994, a North American sculptor of Japanese origin, while he was making a stability study. The table consists of a structure with two identical pieces made of solid wood and a glass panel. Its unique shapes help conceive this piece more like a sculpture. Currently it is being manufactured by Vitra. A timeless piece of design which perfectly suits Scandinavian homes, for both contemporary and classic environments. I leave you with some images.

Hoy os presento a la silla Mademoiselle by Ilmari Tapiovaara

La silla Mademoiselle fue creada por el diseñador finlandés Ilmari Tapiovaara en 1956 y se ha convertido en todo un clásico del diseño de los años 50. Es fabricada en madera de abedul con un diseño elegante y atemporal. Hoy en día es producida por Artek , en color blanco o negro. También existe en versión mecedora.

The Mademoiselle chair was designed in 1956 by the Finnish designer Ilmari Tapiovaara and it has become a classic of 50s design. It is made in birch wood with an elegant and timeless design. Today it is manufactured by Artek, in white or black. Also there is a rocking version. I leave you with his staging:

Os presento a la lámpara PH5

La lámpara PH5 fue diseñada en el año 1925 por el arquitecto danés Poul Henningsten, el cual contribuyó con el diseño escandinavo con varios de sus trabajos, pero siempre destacó por los diseños de sus lámparas.

Esta lámpara fue creada para proporcionar una luz suave y difusa a los interiores de las viviendas escandinavas. Esta formada por tres elementos superpuestos y orientados de manera que, la iluminación sea más intensa hacia la mesa y más difusa hacia el entorno. Actualmente es fabricada por Louis Poulsen en Copenhage, Dinamarca.

The PH5 lamp was designed in 1925 by the Danish architect Poul Henningsten, known for several of his Scandinavian design works, and most outstanding for his lamp designs. This lamp was created to provide a soft and diffused light to the interiors of Scandinavian homes. This consists of three overlapping elements oriented so that, the lighting can be more intense towards the table and more diffused towards the surrounding area.It is currently manufactured by Louis Poulsen in Copenhagen, Denmark. Hoy os presento a La Chaise, un clásico del diseño

Otro de los clásicos del diseño que no podía faltar en estilo escandinavo, la silla La Chaise. Fue creada por el matrimonio Eames en el año 1948 para el concurso del Museo de Arte Moderno de Nueva York.

Para su diseño se basaron en la escultura “Floating Figure” de Gaston Lachaise. Las formas de la silla siguen la silueta de la figura escultórica, como si del asiento de la señora se tratase. Está realizada en fibra de vidrio y ha sido considerada uno de los iconos del diseño orgánica del siglo XX.

En la actualidad es fabricada por Vitra. Es concebida más como una obra de arte que como un mueble. Con ella aportarás originalidad y modernidad en tu casa.

Another design classic that is a must in Scandinavian style, La Chaise Chair. It was designed by Eames couple in 1948 for the Museum of Modern Art’s. Hoy os presento a Wishbone chair o CH24

La silla Wishbone también conocida como CH24 es otro de esos clásicos del diseño. Fue diseñada por el diseñador danés Hans J. Wegner en los años 50.

En sus inicios su estructura se fabricaba en madera de roble y el asiento con cuerda natural, pero hoy en día existen distintas acabados para su estructura. Actualmente es fabricada de forma exclusiva por la empresa Carl Hansen & Son, su madera proviene de fuentes renovables y sostenibles. Su proceso de fabricación está cuidadosamente observado, dando lugar a unos perfectos acabados.

Un diseño ergonómico, con su espalda ligeramente curvada, hacen que sea una silla muy cómoda, perfecta en comedores de estilo escandinavo en los que pasar largas sobremesas.

The Wishbone Chair or CH24 Chair is another piece of classic design. It was designed by the Danish Hans J. Wegner in the 50s.
